Description
The Johnson Bilge Alert high water alarm system uses a patented Mirus field effect detector cell which produces a micro-electrical field that detects disruptions caused by water and fluids. When activated the sensor will trigger a 100dB audible alarm plus a visual LED alarm on the control panel.
The sealed fluid detector is never in contact with the water, will not corrode and it is not affected by oil and debris. The Bilge Alert sensor should be mounted on the bulkhead, stringer, inner transom or hull of your boat above the normal operating level of your automatic float switch, but below the level of critical components of your boat and/or engine. If the sensor comes in contact with any fluid for longer than 8 seconds the alarm will be triggered.
The Johnson bilge water level alarm control panel has a three way rocker switch to allow alarm to be tested, turned off and armed. Full wiring instructions are included.
