Description

Outboard petrol engine tachos sense from the alternator of the outboard motor. The gauge must be calibrated to work with each specific engine, depending on the number of alternator poles it has, which can be easily done using a small switch at the back of the gauge.

This tachometer measures up to 7,000 rpm and features a built in system check designed for electric start OMC outboard motors (Evinrude and Johnson) 1996 and newer, giving visual warnings for:

- No oil

- High engine temperature

- Check engine

- Low oil pressure
