The McMurdo SmartFind M6 AIS Class A transponder is an advanced maritime safety device designed to provide vessel operators with enhanced situational awareness and communication capabilities.

The transponder enables vessel operators to easily monitor the AIS status of nearby vessels and access detailed navigation information. It supports automated communication from ‘ships-to-ships’, and ‘ships-to-shore, transmitting and receiving vital voyage and safety-related data.

Comprehensive interface capabilities allow the device to connect with a variety of onboard navigation sensors, Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS), and Electronic Chart Systems (ECS). It supports multiple connectivity interfaces including NMEA, NMEA2000, USB, and Ethernet.

The transponder features a colour 4.3-inch high-contrast display and an intuitive user interface with a backlit keypad, making it easy to operate in various lighting conditions. It integrates multiple GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) sources, ensuring accurate positioning and navigation data.
