R & D Part Number: 45AN69 (was 45AN94 / 45AC94).

This R & D Marine gearbox damper drive plate is fitted between the engine and the gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D damper drive plates include a 'failsafe' design.

Also called the driven plate, damper plate, gearbox drive plate or clutch plate, the 45AN69 damper drive plate is from the R and D high deflection element range.

Common applications for the 45AN69 gearbox drive plate include Trans Auto & TAMD 40 engines mated to gearbox models PRM160 and PRM260, subject to flywheel dimensions and engine power.

R & D damper drive plate technical details:

- Spline: SAE 1" x 10 teeth (25.4mm diameter) for PRM100, 101, 140, 160 and 260 gearboxes

- Diameter of back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 284mm (11.181")

- Back plate fixing holes: (multi-hole fixing type): 6 x 9.1 on 269.96mm pcd and 6 x 6.3mm on 269.96mm PCD.

- Maximum thickness of drive plate: 35mm (1.38")

Fitted with the softer type AC high deflection element for 270Nm 200 ft lb torque, providing a maximum deflection up to 30 degrees. This type of drive plate is especially suited to workboats with slow speed applications and pleasure boats.

Please Note: this type of damper drive plate can only be fitted to rotate in the standard direction of rotation (anti-clockwise when looking at the flywheel) with the drive plate element facing the gearbox. The 45AN69 damper plate is also failsafe.
